hey there, we're

After more than 30 years of marriage, we know what it’s like to be close, connected, and on the same page, and we know what it’s like to drift apart. Marriage has a way of revealing things in us, pushing us to grow, and inviting us to love each other differently over time. But we believe something beautiful happens when two people keep turning toward each other through every season. That’s how friendship deepens. That’s how connection returns. Rich always says, “I’m married to my best friend,” and honestly, we believe that’s possible for more couples than people think.

Marriage changes over time, and so do we. Through every season, Jesus has continued to shape the way we love each other, communicate, forgive, and grow together.

We genuinely believe He changes marriages because He continues changing ours.

We’re very different people in a lot of ways, and over the years we’ve learned those differences do not have to compete with each other. They can actually deepen friendship when you learn how to appreciate each other well.

DeAnna is the wild child of our family. She loves the outdoors, water sports, fast cars, and lately, eBikes. Rich, on the other hand, would happily choose a good book, great coffee, and ice-cold weather over almost anything. And honestly, we think those differences have made our friendship even stronger over the years.

We both care deeply about continuing to grow, both individually and in our marriage. We have two adult children, two grandchildren we absolutely adore, and a life we genuinely enjoy building together.

Over the years, what started as a deep love for marriage and helping couples slowly grew into Growing In Marriage. We’ve been involved in ministry for more than 18 years and currently attend New Life Christian Center. These days, a lot of our life is spent coaching couples, leading groups, speaking at marriage events and retreats, hosting conversations through our podcast, and creating resources that help couples reconnect and grow closer together. It’s work we genuinely love and feel incredibly grateful to be part of.
