This retreat is designed to help you find your way back.
You love your spouse. But lately something feels a little off. Conversations turn into misunderstandings. Life feels busy and full. And the closeness you once had feels harder to find.
Most couples don’t drift apart because they stopped loving each other. They drift apart because life got loud and they stopped slowing down long enough to reconnect.
Imagine sitting beside your spouse after a meaningful conversation and realizing ... “We haven’t talked like this in years.”
Imagine laughing together again.
Walking along Lake Tahoe.
Sharing unhurried conversations.
Remembering what it feels like to simply enjoy each other.
And leaving the weekend feeling lighter, closer, and hopeful about the future of your marriage.
That is the kind of weekend we are creating.
You arrive in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.
The air feels different.
The pace immediately slows down.
You check in at Margaritaville Resort and settle into the weekend ahead.
Friday afternoon you join the other couples as the retreat begins. Conversations start. Laughter returns.
That evening everyone gathers for a relaxed meet and greet at Fire & Ice. Appetizers are served, couples connect, and the weekend begins to unfold.
Between sessions, you have space to explore Lake Tahoe, take a walk together, or simply enjoy time with your spouse without the normal pressures of everyday life.
For VIP couples, Saturday evening becomes even more personal with a private dinner alongside Rich and DeAnna.
Sunday morning brings one final session where couples often find themselves reflecting on just how much can change when intentional time is given to a marriage.
Christ-centered marriage.
Over the years, Rich and DeAnna have walked with hundreds of couples. They’ve seen something again and again. Most marriages don’t fall apart overnight. Distance grows slowly. Small misunderstandings pile up. Busy schedules leave very little room for meaningful connection. Couples still love each other deeply. They just feel stuck.
Uninterrupted time.
Honest conversations.
Practical tools that help couples reconnect and move forward together.
This retreat was created to give couples something many marriages are missing:
We also believe something else is true.
When Jesus becomes the center of a marriage, everything begins to shift.
This weekend will guide couples toward building a
Communication changes.
Grace grows.
Hope returns.
Hearts soften.
Rich and DeAnna Millentree are the founders of Growing In Marriage and have spent years helping couples reconnect emotionally, grow spiritually, and rediscover the joy of being married to their best friend.
Through coaching, retreats, and their work with couples across the country, they’ve helped hundreds of marriages move from frustration and distance to clarity, friendship, and hope.
Their approach is honest, practical, and deeply rooted in faith.
More than anything, they love helping couples experience the kind of marriage where friendship is strong, communication is healthy, and Jesus remains at the center.
We help married couples rebuild connection, trust, and clarity by grounding their relationship in the truth of God’s Word.
Many couples want their marriage to reflect their faith but struggle to live that out in everyday life. During the retreat, Rich and DeAnna will share practical ways couples can keep Jesus at the center of their relationship and grow spiritually together. Not in a heavy or complicated way. But in ways that bring life, unity, and deeper connection.
• Four engaging and interactive sessions with Rich and DeAnna
• Guided conversations designed to help you reconnect
• Practical tools you can take home and use in your marriage
• Encouragement and guidance for keeping Jesus at the center of your relationship
• Meaningful time together away from everyday distractions
• A fun Friday evening meet and greet with appetizers at Fire & Ice
During the weekend you will experience:
There is no awkward group sharing. Most conversations and exercises happen privately between you and your spouse.
This weekend is designed to be both refreshing and transformational.
Something interesting happens during these retreats. Couples arrive carrying the normal weight of life. Busy schedules. Lingering frustrations. Conversations that never quite seem to land the way they hope. By the end of the weekend, something begins to shift.
Many couples say things like,
The truth is, most couples don’t need a completely different marriage. They simply need space, guidance, and intentional time together to reconnect.
That’s what this weekend is designed to create.
and
Most couples who attend a retreat weren’t planning to. One of them stumbled across it. The other one was unsure. That’s completely normal. Many couples arrive thinking something like,
“Things aren’t terrible… but we know we could be closer.” or “We love each other, but life has gotten busy and disconnected.”
A retreat like this gives you something most marriages rarely get:
Uninterrupted time together.
Space to talk.
Guidance that helps you understand each other better.
And the opportunity to reconnect emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for your marriage is simply step away for a weekend and give it your full attention.

Yes. To learn more about what we believe, check out our beliefs and read about our local church's beliefs.
Nope! Not even the cute ones. The Growing In Marriage Retreat is a time for you and your spouse to focus all your attention on each other.
Absolutely not! That wouldn't be fun at all. Your darkest secrets are no one else's business. You and your spouse can rest easy knowing you will never be asked to share anything that would make you feel exposed.
Gag! No way! This is going to be a fun atmosphere. Rich and DeAnna will teach healthy relationship techniques and give you time to work them into your marriage.
Food and lodging are at your own expense except for:
• Friday meet and greet apps
• VIP dinner Saturday
• VIP breakfast Sunday
You don’t have to, but we highly recommend it. Staying at the resort makes the weekend feel easier, more relaxed, and more connected. You can walk to and from every session without worrying about driving or parking, head back to your room during breaks to rest or reset, enjoy extra time together without feeling rushed, stay immersed in the experience instead of coming and going, and truly make it feel like a getaway, not just an event.
$200 of your registration is non-refundable and secures your spot. If paying the deposit option, the remaining balance must be paid by August 31, 2026. After August 31, all registrations are non-refundable.
